Success Stories

E. D. White is much more than just my old high school; it is the place that I credit for me becoming who I am today.. When I entered eighth grade, I had no voice for myself and did not know how to unapologetically live out my faith. With the guidance and support of all the faculty and staff, I learned how to overcome life's challenges and how to grow from those experiences. From the rigorous classes preparing me for college to all of the extracurricular activities, I could not have asked for more from E.D. White.

I entered E.D. White my junior year and didn't know a single person at the school or in Thibodaux. The students and faculty welcomed and encouraged me to meet new people by joining clubs and participating in athletics. Lifelong friendships were instantly formed. The education and offerings at E.D. White helped me to prepare for college and more importantly, life. I am a proud alumnus and now the parent of a Cardinal. I hope my daughter's experiences are as profound as mine.

Joining the faculty at E.D. White has been a joy. Having our faith interwoven in our day to day school activities has allowed me to grow in the faith with my students in our challenges and in our successes. The students' willingness to share their faith and their talents with our E.D. White family and community makes me look forward to the future they will create.

Looking back on my time at E.D. White, I'm very grateful for how much it has prepared me to be a successful student, athlete, man, and follower of Christ in my everyday life. The things I cherish most at E.D. White are the relationships that I made with fellow students, teachers, and faculty that will last a lifetime.

As a parent of two E.D. White students, I can still feel the same warmth and spirit that I did as a student. The strong Catholic faith and rigorous academics continue and I know my children will be very prepared for what life holds for them.
