C.A.R.E.S. and C.C.P. Programs

MISSION

The mission of the E. D. White Catholic High School C.A.R.E.S. program is to provide students with exceptionalities access to a faith-based, Catholic education that fosters spiritual, academic, and social growth. While students are supported in a self-contained setting, they are also integrated into general education classrooms based on their abilities, ensuring personalized inclusion. Our program is dedicated to nurturing each student’s potential and preparing them for success in all aspects of life, rooted in the values of faith, respect, and community.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The E. D. White C.A.R.E.S. program is dedicated to providing students with exceptionalities a fully inclusive Catholic education. At the core of our program are respect, compassion, and achievement for every student, ensuring they feel valued and supported. Through individualized education plans, students have access to a curriculum that meets their unique academic, spiritual, social, and physical needs.

Collaboration is key to our approach. We work closely with students, their parents, and service plan members to create a tailored educational path that supports each student’s goals. Our commitment to appropriate inclusion means we carefully assess each student’s needs to ensure they are integrated into the general school environment in a way that fosters both success and belonging.

Our ultimate goal is to equip students with exceptionalities with the skills they need to thrive beyond high school. By focusing on their personal success in all aspects of life—academically, socially, and spiritually—we prepare them for their next phase, ensuring they have the confidence and abilities to succeed in whatever they pursue after graduation.

CARES COMMUNITY PROGRAM (CCP)

 Supporting Students Beyond the Classroom

The E. D. White Catholic High School CARES Community Program (CCP) provides individualized, faith-centered support for students with disabilities as they prepare for life beyond high school. This three-year post-graduation program offers coordinated transition services that help students build the skills, experiences, and confidence needed for greater independence, meaningful employment, continued learning, and active participation in their communities.

Rooted in the Catholic belief that every person is created in the image and likeness of God, CCP encourages students to discover and use their God-given gifts while growing spiritually, socially, academically, and vocationally.

Through meaningful, real-world experiences, students are guided to become self-advocates, build relationships, serve others, and develop lifelong skills that help them thrive as valued members of their families, parishes, workplaces, and communities.
