Lindsay Spinner

Four-sport standout and scholar-athlete who earned All-State honors in volleyball, cross country, soccer, and track, and has dedicated 15 years to coaching Cardinal student-athletes.

All-State running back who rushed for 3,300 career yards and 21 touchdowns as a member of the 1970 and 1972 Cardinal semifinalist teams.

P.J. Naquin
Two-sport standout who was a member of the 1969 State Championship football team, earned Second Team All-State honors, and was a District MVP in baseball.

This special ceremony will honor their remarkable contributions to Cardinal Athletics and the lasting impact they have made on our school community. We welcome all alumni, family, friends, and supporters to join us as we celebrate their place in Cardinal history.

Lindsay Constant Spinner (EDW Class of 2010) was an exceptional four-sport athlete at E. D. White, excelling in volleyball, cross country, soccer, and track while also achieving outstanding academic honors. She was the recipient of the 2010 E. D. White Female Scholar Athlete Award, recognizing her accomplishments both in competition and in the classroom.

In volleyball, Lindsay was a four-year letterman and starting outside hitter on the 2008 State Championship team. She earned 1st Team All-District, All-Region, and All-State honors, as well as District Most Valuable Defensive Player. She was selected to the 2009 Louisiana Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Team and the 2009 LHSAA All-Star Game, and was also recognized as an Academic All-State Honorable Mention.

Lindsay was equally accomplished in cross country, where she was a four-year letterman and four-year state meet runner. She earned 1st Team All-District honors and finished as the individual district runner-up. She was also a member of the 2009 State Runner-Up team and earned 3A Academic All-State honors. In soccer, Lindsay was a five-year letterman who played both forward and midfielder. She was named 1st Team All-District and District Most Valuable Offensive Player, selected to participate in the 2009 LHSAA All-Star Game, and named 1st Team Academic All-State.

On the track, Lindsay was a five-year letterman and District Track MVP. She was a five-time district champion in the 1600-meter run, a district champion in the 800-meter run, and a four-time participant in the state track meet. In 2009, she finished as the state runner-up in the 1600 meters and earned 1st Team 3A Academic All-State honors.

Through her remarkable versatility, competitive success, leadership, and dedication to academics, Lindsay Constant Spinner established herself as one of E. D. White’s outstanding scholar-athletes. Her accomplishments across four sports reflect not only exceptional athletic ability, but also the commitment and determination required to excel at the highest level.

For the past 15 years, Lindsay has dedicated herself to coaching volleyball and girls soccer at E. D. White, leaving a lasting impact on countless student-athletes. During her seven years as Head Coach of Girls Soccer, she has led the team to an impressive 95 wins, five District Championships, six quarterfinal appearances, and one semifinal appearance. While these accomplishments speak to her success on the field, Lindsay’s greatest impact can be seen in the confidence, character, and memories she has helped build in the young women she has coached. Her passion, dedication, and commitment to E. D. White have made her an invaluable part of the school’s athletic community.

Kevin Ledet (EDW Class of 1972) was a dominant force on the football field and one of the Cardinals’ all-time leading rushers. A three-year varsity letterman, Kevin was a key member of the 1970 and 1972 semifinalist teams and earned All-District honors in 1970 and 1972. As a senior in 1972, he was named an All-State Running Back after rushing for an impressive 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns. Kevin also rushed for 1,000 yards as a sophomore and 900 yards as a junior, finishing his career with 3,300 rushing yards. His remarkable consistency and production earned him the team’s Offensive Player Award and cemented his place among the school’s all-time great Cardinal football players.

P.J. Naquin (EDW Class of 1972) was a standout two-sport athlete, leaving an impressive mark on both the football and baseball programs. A three-year varsity letterman in football, P.J. was a member of the 1969 State Championship team and the 1970 semifinalist squad. He earned Second Team All-State honors in 1970 and 1971, was selected to the 1971 LHSAA All-Star Game, and received All-Parish recognition in 1971 and 1972. His accomplishments in the classroom and on the field also earned him the Cardinal Club Scholar-Athlete Award. P.J. was equally accomplished on the baseball diamond, earning three varsity letters and helping lead his teams to regional, bi-district, and state semifinal appearances. In 1971, he was named District MVP, and in 1972, he earned All-District honors. He was also recognized with team awards for MVP and highest batting average, along with All-Parish honors in 1971 and 1972. A talented and dedicated athlete, P.J. Naquin’s achievements reflect the excellence, versatility, and school spirit that define a true Cardinal.
