Success Stories

“Teaching at E. D. White was not always something that was in my life plan. As a 2008 graduate of E. D. White, I quickly noticed a difference between myself and some of my fellow engineering students in terms of preparedness and intellectual maturity. It is difficult to convey to my students how lucky they are to be able to attend this school because it really does give them an advantage in their future schooling. After working as an electrical engineer for eight years, my wife and I moved back to Thibodaux. My decision to become a teacher and coach at E. D. White is a testament to those who molded me as a student when I was here. It is a gift to be able to teach my students and prepare them for the future while also strengthening their Catholic faith, and I look forward to one day sending my children here so that they can become a part of the E. D. White family.”

“E. D. White will always hold a special place in my heart. It is where I grew into a confident and courageous young woman who can thrive in the next chapter of her life. Sitting in my college classes today, I cannot express how grateful I am for how well EDW prepared me for advanced courses. The main reason I am able to thrive academically at university is because of how much the teachers and administration at EDW prioritized my learning experiences. I am now wholeheartedly in love with my faith because of all the opportunities EDW gave me to grow religiously during retreats, religion classes, Campus Ministry, and so much more. Overall, if it were not for EDW’s ability to acknowledge my strengths and weaknesses while encouraging me to become the best person I can be, I would not be the woman that I am today.”

“Blessed, more blessed, and most blessed! “My experiences I had during my time at E. D. White will resonate with me the rest of my life. I am truly grateful that the school helped me grow spiritually, academically, athletically, and intellectually. I am a third-generation Cardinal, and E. D. White will always hold a special place in my heart. E. D. White allowed me to chart my own path and use my God-given talents to help those around me and those who will follow behind me. I am proud to be able to represent this school as an alumnus.”

“When faced with making the decision on where to continue the education of our girls, the choice of E. D. White was easy. After visiting the school and seeing the passion and dedication of the staff and their commitment to provide faith-centered education, we knew E. D. White was the place for them. Holy Savior Catholic School in Lockport, LA laid the foundation of their Catholic education, and we are eager to see E. D. White continue to play an integral role in continuing their spiritual journey. We believe that the education being provided will lead them to be prepared for success in all areas of life.”

“E. D. White is a local institution that holds a very special place in our hearts. As alumni, my husband, Michael (1996), and I are grateful of the time we spent there, along with the many lessons we both learned along the way. We are confident that E. D. White will continue to instill the same values of faith, hard work, commitment, and community into our three children. There is no other place we would want our children to grow academically and spiritually. Go Cards!”
